My 'other life' is keeping me busy ....
I'm in lots of craft groups, and I'm promoting them during my residency.
Just in case you are free tomorrow, please come to Open Day at QSWFA (Qld Spinners, Weavers & Fibre Artists) at 12 Payne Street, Auchenflower, 9am-3pm ... no entry fee .... fibre supplies, handmade garments and other merchandise, cakes, plants, fashion parade, food and drinks. I'll be inside the hall, so please come and say hello! Visit the website. The Embroiderers' Guild exhibition "Embroidered Treasures" is on from 2 - 9 June at 149 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, 9.30am - 3.30pm (last admission 2.30pm). $7 entry fee includes a catalogue. Visit the website.
As well as working at the gardens, I'm still doing calligraphy commissions for people ...
Here I am writing a lovely poem called "The rain on the leaves" by Pham Duy.
Writing on large sheets of paper is always a challenge ... and it's always on the last line that I make a mistake, and have to start again!
Here's the display I had on Mother's Day at the Gardens.
The children made cards for their mothers.
What I’m doing in the next few weeks ….
